Engineering

Close collaboration with the specialized departments of our customers allows us to realize your wishes and visions in a targeted manner. Here, we offer comprehensive support and strategic optimization of the approach.

Our engineers create tooling plans according to your specific requirements, laying the foundation for efficient production. They develop custom follow-on composite tools and deep-drawing tools for stamping. With the help of state-of-the-art CAD-3D software and powerful simulation technologies, we can simulate data in a short time, enabling significant cost savings for you.

Tool Manufacturing

To perfectly produce defined shapes and functions, we develop customized precision tools that meet individual customer requirements. We utilize both follow-on technology and transfer technology, where precision regarding conformity, geometry, and tolerances plays a crucial role.

STEEL has created its own tool specifically for these requirements, optimizing development processes in toolmaking. This allows us to efficiently verify how a desired metal part should function, whether feasibility is assured with an appropriate tool, and what strategy best facilitates project implementation. We take the time to understand the entire process.

Then, our engineering experts design a prototype and refine it until every parameter fits perfectly. Once everything aligns, the required production tool is built and personally inspected by our tooling master for uncompromising quality. If the tool meets all requirements, the metal part to be produced can enter series production.

Stamping And Forming Technology

We are a reliable partner in various industries, including automotive, medical technology, environmental technology, solar, and photovoltaics. Our highly precise forming-, stamping-, and joining technologies require powerful manufacturing equipment and machinery.

At STEEL, we are well-equipped for this. We use complex progressive and transfer tools to produce demanding stamped-drawn-bent parts to the highest quality standards. Our machinery includes servo presses, a variety of hydraulic presses, as well as toggle and eccentric presses, which are available to meet diverse requirements. For small series, we use special insert presses.

To further increase efficiency, we employ process-integrated automation, covering everything from embossing to thread forming and feeding screws, nuts, sleeves, and bearing elements. Additionally, special cleaning processes and surface coatings ensure technical cleanliness. To minimize particle formation, a comprehensive process monitoring system is employed.

Assembly

The form determines the outcome. Only when carefully crafted individual components merge into a complex overall system can all parts fulfill their intended purpose optimally.

By employing advanced joining and assembly techniques, we precisely manufacture complex assemblies according to the individual requirements of our customers. At every step of the manufacturing process, predefined functions and geometries are meticulously adhered to.

Our robot-assisted systems rely on proven technologies such as welding, clinching, riveting, and joining to maximize efficiency. For parts requiring documentation, we conduct process-integrated, automatic 100% inspections. In the field of laser applications, CNC surface machining, welding, and soldering open up new possibilities.

Ladder Joints

Whether it's a work platform or a yacht ladder, STEEL provides metal joints for the highest requirements in any application area.

Flexible positions, high strengths, and secure locking and locking positions are the main requirements for movable connecting elements. At STEEL, you will find metal joints for a wide range of purposes from a modular system.

Our patented swaging technology for form-fitting joint-rail connections guarantees higher rigidity and improved stability compared to conventional manufacturing methods such as riveting and screwing.

A production-integrated quality assurance in all manufacturing processes according to the automotive standard ISO/TS16949, as well as regular endurance tests of our joints, ensure quality to the highest standards.
